English as a Second Language
Children differ on all possible
dimensions. They begin at
different points and move forward at different rates. Growth does not happen in equal
increments. Spurts and plateaus occur
in the development of any ability. The simple fact of individual differences
is what makes teaching all children to read and write such a
challenging task. Classrooms That Work, Third Edition, Cunningham & Allington, p. 159 The following links are offered as
supplemental resources to help advance your students' language acquisition.
Topics include listening and speaking, reading, writing, links to ESL sites
on the web, and ESL learners' home pages. |
