Health Fitness
Program
Health Fitness is an active participation class during which students have the opportunity to become more efficient movers and gain the knowledge necessary to make healthful choices in the future. The curriculum is designed to meet state and district requirements. Essential element areas covered are physical and health-related fitness, motor skill development, rhythmic activities, sequential gymnastics, and skill related sports and leisure activities. In addition, we have incorporated wellness in the curriculum. Instruction is given on nutrition, stress management, self-esteem, environment, general safety, goal setting, and social skills. Our main focus is to encourage our students to be the very best that they can be at what ever level they are working on. |
